Zenara Health is hiring an UI/UX Designer

Lead end-to-end UI/UX design for an AI-first mental healthcare SaaS platform.. Work remotely across India with strong overlap in US Pacific time zones.. Design seamless, accessible experiences for clinicians, patients, and administrative staff.. Focus on creating interfaces that are both clinically effective and easy to use.. Ensure all designs support real-world clinical workflows and user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the UI/UX design for the assessment product, care and practice management product, and core platform layer.
  • Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs.
  • Design every screen, user interaction, and interface state across all products.
  • Quickly explore and refine design concepts using AI tools and prompting techniques.
  • Deliver design directions that are ready for engineering implementation.
  • Use AI to speed up ideation, generate design variations, and refine copy.
  • Achieve shippable user experiences within days rather than weeks.
  • Formulate UX hypotheses and measure feature success through quantitative data.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to run and interpret A/B tests and staged rollouts.
  • Analyze user behavior data to guide iterative design improvements.
  • Maintain and evolve the company’s design system over time.
  • Define reusable components, interaction patterns, and design tokens.
  • Ensure visual and functional consistency across products while accommodating unique requirements.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing with actual clinical users.
  • Interview psychiatrists, observe clinical workflows, identify pain points, and validate solutions.
  • Design interfaces tailored to clinicians needing efficiency, patients needing empathy, and admins needing clarity.
  • Build deep understanding of clinical workflows to create supportive, intuitive designs.
  • Design for accessibility compliance with WCAG standards and responsive layouts.
  • Ensure usability for people with disabilities and across devices and screen sizes.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering on sprint-based deliverables.
  • Balance ideal design outcomes with technical feasibility.
  • Ensure designs are implementable and can be delivered on schedule.
  • Iterate quickly in collaboration with engineering, who may refine designs during development.
  • Design interactions powered by AI, including chat interfaces, content generation displays, recommendations, and automated workflows.
  • Make AI-driven features feel intuitive and trustworthy to clinical users.

Requirements

  • 4 to 8 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, specifically on B2B SaaS or healthcare products with complex enterprise applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, with a component-based, system-driven approach.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain design systems from the ground up.
  • Comfortable using AI tools through prompting and experimentation to accelerate design thinking and reduce time to shippable UX.
  • Ability to define UX hypotheses and assess feature adoption using quantitative metrics.
  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams on UX experiments like A/B tests and phased rollouts.
  • Skilled at extracting actionable insights from usage data to inform design decisions.
  • Portfolio demonstrating experience in healthcare or complex enterprise product design, preferably with case studies.
  • Hands-on experience designing for clinical workflows, such as EHR systems, patient tools, or dashboard-heavy applications.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
  • Ability to work effectively under product direction from non-designers, translating strategy into functional screens.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, especially in async environments, with clear documentation of design rationale, research findings, and specifications.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing products for behavioral or mental health contexts.
  • Background in designing interfaces powered by artificial intelligence, such as chatbots, recommendation engines, or generated content displays.
  • Practical experience conducting user research and usability testing with clinical professionals.
  • Skills in motion design and crafting meaningful micro-interactions.
  • Experience managing or contributing to large-scale design systems.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms like Mixpanel or Amplitude for tracking UX metrics.
