International Refugee Assistance Project was looking for an U.S. Litigation Deputy Director

The International Refugee Assistance Project seeks a U.S. Litigation Deputy Director to lead and execute complex litigation strategies. This is a full-time, remote litigation role based in New York, dedicated to advancing the rights of refugees and displaced people.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and lead high-impact litigation strategies and legal advocacy at the federal and state levels.
  • Manage complex litigation from initial investigation through briefing, argument, and appeals.
  • Conduct legal research and draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with legal teams, partner organizations, and clients to build strong cases.

What We're Looking For

  • Juris Doctor degree and admission to a state bar.
  • Significant experience in federal court litigation and appellate advocacy.
  • Deep knowledge of administrative law, constitutional law, and immigration law.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex cases and legal projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

This is a fully remote role based in New York.
