Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is looking for a Tritium Facility Technologist to support tritium processing and research activities in a Class I Tritium Facility. This hands-on technical role is central to ensuring the safe and compliant operation of a specialized nuclear environment.
What You'll Do
- Complete formal training to become fully qualified for licensed facility operation.
- Carry out daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly activities related to routine laboratory operations.
- Perform equipment calibration, housekeeping, and waste disposal coordination.
- Conduct maintenance work, which may involve using fresh air respirators.
- Assist in developing work plans and procedures.
- Execute all responsibilities safely and accurately by strictly following protocols.
What We're Looking For
- Graduation from a recognized institute of advanced technology and 6-8 years of relevant experience OR a Secondary School Graduation Diploma/equivalent and 10-12 years of pertinent progressive experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in Nuclear Facilities and/or laboratories.
- Experience in chemical laboratory practices and safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills with word processing and spreadsheet knowledge.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance requirements in lab activities.
- Eligibility for a Level 2 Secret security clearance, requiring a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the US, or the UK.
Nice to Have
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment or instrumentation.
- Experience following a Radioisotope Lab Protocol.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, such as measurement devices or Programmable Logic Controllers.
