Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for translational operations

  • Coordinate with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance
  • Manage project documentation and records
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams
  • Participate in the development of new therapeutic candidates
  • Support the development of clinical trial protocols and study designs
  • Ensure data integrity and security throughout the project lifecycle
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures
  • Provide input on the design and implementation of new systems and tools

Reporting to the Head of Translational Operations, you will lead a team of 5-7 scientists and operations specialists.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the planning and execution of translational operations to drive the development of novel therapeutics from discovery to clinical trials.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making and project direction, and prepare and present reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.

What You'll Need

  • A PhD in a relevant scientific field or equivalent experience in translational research or drug development.
  • Proven experience in project management and leadership, with a strong track record of success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with regulatory affairs and clinical trial management, and familiarity with data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Knowledge of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with budget management and financial planning, and familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
  • Experience with vendor and contract management, and familiarity with quality assurance and control processes.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members, and experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
