Join the Transdev team as a Diesel Mechanic, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines for our fleet of shuttle buses operating at Bush IAH airport. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and longevity of our vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
- Perform moderate to advanced complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components.
- Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
- Other duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- At least two years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
- Mechanic’s Tool Set.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
- Must require a CDL B within six months of employment.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive compensation package of $20.50 – $25.50 per hour.
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks.
- Sick days: 5 days.
- Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating.
