Societe Generale is seeking a Trainee: Non-Financial Risk Management for a 24-month full-time program within the Risk Division (RISQ) covering Asia-Pacific. In this role, you will focus on developing automation solutions, enhancing risk frameworks, and supporting data analytics and climate risk initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement advanced automation solutions for monitoring enterprise risk and risk appetite across the region, including dashboards, alerts, and escalation processes.
- Assist in strengthening the risk management framework through the use of data and modern technologies to enhance portfolio monitoring.
- Assist with permanent control reporting for management.
- Assist in data analytics for risk identification and monitoring.
- Support the team on climate risk framework development, stress testing, and reporting.
- Support continuous improvement of tactical tools, application systems, and data science projects.
- Propose and implement innovative technical solutions using the latest technologies.
- Conduct studies and other ad-hoc assignments with the support of risk experts.
- Collaborate closely with entity risk officers and regional risk experts to ensure effective risk monitoring solutions are implemented.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Very good programming skills, design, and conceptual thinking.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming theory and practice in C++, Java, or C#.
- Knowledge of Python, git, and GitHub.
- Understanding of RESTful API principles and familiarity with authentication mechanisms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in API integrations.
- Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment focused on collective success.
- Proactive, swift, analytical, rigorous, able to multitask, and work under pressure.
- Displays commitment and demonstrates consideration for others.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Fluent English is mandatory.
Nice to Have
- A Master's degree in a relevant subject like Data Science, FinTech, or similar.
- Knowledge of Data Science or Machine Learning.
- Knowledge of Large Language Models and AI application development (e.g., RAG).
- Knowledge of VBA, web application development (e.g., React.js), and dashboard technology (e.g., Power BI).
- Financial knowledge.
