Role Overview
An established client organization is looking for a qualified Tier 2 IT Engineer to support its technology operations at their headquarters. This position is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical challenges, maintaining system performance, and ensuring reliable IT service delivery in coordination with a broader support team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve technical issues affecting desktops, servers, and network-connected systems
- Support and maintain Windows and Linux environments
- Deliver both remote and on-site assistance to users, including executive-level staff
- Document technical procedures, recurring issues, and resolution methods
- Keep support tickets accurately updated and organized throughout their lifecycle
- Maintain consistent communication with end users to ensure clarity and satisfaction
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotations as scheduled
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in IT support or engineering roles, preferably with direct user interaction
- Proven understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with core networking principles and diagnostic tools
- Strong analytical abilities and clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary of up to $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, and vision), a 401(k) plan with a 3% company match available after 90 days, and a generous paid time off policy.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role located at the client’s headquarters. The candidate must be available to work in person and may be required to respond during off-hours on a rotating on-call basis.
