Monzo is looking for a Third Party Risk Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing operational processes to enhance our Third Party Risk Management. You'll play a pivotal role in proactively delivering effective risk management, developing sustainable ways to meet our regulatory requirements, and collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
What You'll Do
- Bring your unique Risk and Control expertise to advance Monzo’s strategic goals and support our growth.
- Proactively deliver impactful and effective Third Party Risk Management.
- Design, implement and manage operational processes to enhance how Monzo manages Third Party Risk.
- Have a pivotal role in developing sustainable ways to meet our regulatory requirements in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
- Strive to achieve high standards and instil established best practices in risk management.
- Take a collaborative and partnered approach to achieving business objectives with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Be both tactical and strategic when developing and delivering Third Party risk management solutions at Monzo.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working within highly regulated environments and the ability to navigate complexity with confidence.
- Skill in delivering third-party risk management in a collaborative, matrix environment.
- A strong understanding of outsourcing regulations, ideally from the banking or financial services sector.
- Ability to communicate with clarity, tact, and pragmatism, building trust and influence at every level.
- A keen eye for detail, and enjoyment in developing, reviewing and implementing effective policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of how to build strategies that manage third-party risk effectively throughout their lifecycle.
- Confidence in interpreting risk regulations and standards across different jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with Cyber, Information Security, and Data Risk Management.
- Familiarity with third-party risk management tools and systems.
- A delivery-focused mindset with a genuine passion for creating sustainable, innovative solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience leading or contributing to sustainable improvements in risk processes, making lasting, practical impact.
Team & Environment
You will join a small, high-performing, high-energy team within the Third Party Risk Management - Supplier Operations team, reporting to the Director of Third Party Risk.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: £85,000 - £105,000 + equity (share options).
- £1,000 learning budget each year to use on books, training courses and conferences.
- We will set you up to work from home; all employees are given Macbooks and for distributed workers we will provide extra support for your work-from-home setup.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role with locations in Cardiff, London, or Remote (UK).
