dormakaba USA is looking for a Test Engineer PQA ESC to join our team. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing component and system tests for our mechatronic access control systems. This role involves direct contributions to test automation, certification coordination, and active participation in our agile development team, all within a globally active corporation that maintains the culture of a family business.
What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute component and system tests.
- Create test plans, test case specifications, test reports, and document test results.
- Perform manual and automated software and firmware tests as well as measurement series on assemblies and devices.
- Set up and continuously develop firmware test automation, as well as stress and reliability tests.
- Manage and coordinate product certifications with external testing institutes (e.g., TÜV, UL, EMC).
- Contribute to the definition of quality-relevant specifications, approval of change requests, and series releases.
- Provide series support in Product Lifecycle Management, including participation in quality problem solving.
- Work in an agile development team, collaborate with external testing institutes and internal clients.
What We're Looking For
- Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the development, testing, and analysis of mechatronic systems.
- Solid knowledge of firmware test automation, ideally with tools like LabView and NI TestStand.
- Experience in testing communication systems, especially CAN and Bluetooth.
- Analytical thinking skills, structured and independent working style, and team orientation.
Nice to Have
- ISTQB certification.
- Experience with tools like Jira and Polarion.
