The Test Engineer will play a key role in shaping product testing processes for a new factory in Västerås, Sweden, focusing on improving and scaling test operations for high-end electronic products such as Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) and high-voltage equipment. This role combines hands-on testing responsibilities with long-term process improvements and automation planning.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for all test equipment within Operations, including availability, electrical safety, maintenance, documentation, and work instructions.
- Support current production by understanding and improving existing test setups.
- Be a key contributor in defining how product testing will be designed and automated in the new factory.
- Drive improvements in test coverage and test efficiency, from idea to implementation.
- Take ownership of test equipment reliability, including preventive maintenance.
- Support feeder factories with test equipment–related topics.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience within software or hardware development, testing, or similar technical roles.
- Experience with electrical testing.
- Strong technical understanding of electronic products.
- Self-driven with good problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Swedish communication skills required.
