About the Role
The role involves developing and maintaining automated test frameworks to support continuous testing in agile and DevOps environments. The engineer will work closely with development and QA teams to identify test scenarios, implement automation, and report on test outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust test automation frameworks for web and API applications
- Write and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools
- Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to define test strategies
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Identify, document, and track software defects
- Ensure test coverage aligns with functional and non-functional requirements
- Maintain and optimize existing test automation suites
- Support test environment setup and configuration
- Conduct root cause analysis for test failures
- Participate in agile ceremonies including planning and reviews
- Produce clear test reports and metrics for stakeholders
- Promote best practices in test automation across teams
- Stay current with emerging testing tools and methodologies
- Validate software changes across multiple platforms and browsers
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand system behavior
- Contribute to the improvement of software delivery processes
- Assist in manual testing when automation is not feasible
- Monitor production behavior and support post-deployment validation
- Support performance and security testing initiatives
- Use version control systems to manage test code
- Ensure test data is accurately configured and maintained
- Apply risk-based testing approaches to prioritize efforts
- Collaborate on test-driven development practices
- Support regression testing across release cycles
