Cornell University’s Cornell Institute for Research on Climate and Aging (CIRCA) is looking for a part-time Temporary Research Aide. You will support research and dissemination activities for an initiative focused on climate change and the older population, collaborating with researchers and community representatives to address local needs.
What You'll Do
- Support qualitative data collection and analysis.
- Assist with developing social media content and visual materials to disseminate research findings.
- Help craft public-facing messages that communicate research to academic and community stakeholders.
- Maintain research article databases.
- Provide organizational support for meetings and events.
What We're Looking For
- Associate’s degree and up to 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination.
- Interest in climate change, aging, and public health topics.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience coordinating events or meetings in academic or community settings.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Nice to Have
- Experience with qualitative research methods and data analysis.
- Experience with social media outreach (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience working with communities in NYS and knowledge of NYS regional dynamics.
