Role Overview
This position supports the deployment and maintenance of enterprise desktop systems within a secure and standardized IT framework. The technician will handle both physical device setup and remote user support, ensuring all systems meet organizational requirements before being released for business use.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and configure end-user devices with approved Microsoft enterprise operating systems
- Conduct imaging, updates, and post-deployment validation to ensure operational readiness
- Deliver remote technical assistance for desktop hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Diagnose and resolve operating system and application problems, escalating when necessary
- Follow established protocols for IT security, compliance, and service delivery
- Maintain accurate logs of device deployments and support interventions
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and transaction recording to support team efficiency
- Work independently while staying aligned with the central IT support function
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must have completed Grade 12 with a minimum academic point score of 25. Practical experience in a corporate desktop support setting is essential. A clear interest in information technology and end-user systems is required.
CompTIA A+ or similar certification is an advantage. Prior work with Windows enterprise environments, remote support platforms, and service-desk procedures will support success in this role.
