Scientific Research Corporation is hiring a Technical Writer III for our Carry-on Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (STEI) team. In this role, you will focus on researching, writing, editing, and proofreading technical data for critical documents like manuals and procedures.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate productively with subject matter experts within an agile environment to develop appropriate technical documentation.
- Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to configuration management standards for quality, graphics, format, and style using approved software tools.
- Document the planning and implementation of security controls, processes, and procedures.
- Draft and verify accuracy of standard documentation sets.
- Express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely, employing technical writing techniques.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, or equivalent work experience.
- An active TS/SCI clearance.
- Five or more years of technical writing experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- A customer-focused and self-starting approach.
Nice to Have
- A Master’s degree in technical writing or English.
- Previous experience with XML.
- Being DoD 8140-compliant with the equivalent of an IAT II certification (Security+ or higher).
