Responsibilities
- Develop system and hardware documentation including user manuals, installation guides, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand product functionality and design intent
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured written content
- Maintain version control and document lifecycle management
- Ensure compliance with defense and regulatory documentation standards
- Produce diagrams, schematics, and visual aids to support technical explanations
- Revise and update documentation based on product changes and feedback
- Follow structured authoring practices and documentation frameworks
- Work within secure development environments with controlled access
- Support certification and audit processes with accurate recordkeeping
- Coordinate with subject matter experts across disciplines
- Adhere to classification and data handling protocols
- Write interface control documents and integration guides
- Develop training materials for internal and external users
- Participate in design reviews and technical planning sessions
- Ensure consistency across documentation sets and product lines
- Use authoring tools such as Markdown, XML, or LaTeX
- Integrate documentation into product development workflows
- Support rapid prototyping cycles with agile documentation methods
- Maintain glossaries and terminology databases
Nice to Have
- Experience documenting military or defense systems
- Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirements tools

- Security clearance at Secret level or higher
