Rad AI is seeking a contract Technical Writer to tackle a critical backlog of customer-facing documentation. At Rad AI, our mission is to transform healthcare with artificial intelligence. In this role, you will be responsible for simplifying complex topics and producing high-quality user guides within a fast-paced, distributed team environment.
What You'll Do
- Write, revise, and organize user and customer-facing documentation, including user guides and Help Center articles.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, plain-language instructions tailored for non-technical users.
- Tackle a prioritized backlog of documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and usability.
- Collaborate remotely with product, engineering, design, support, and implementation teams to gather details and clarify requirements.
- Use content management systems (primarily Zendesk).
- Follow and contribute to established style guides, glossaries, and templates.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in a technical writing role, ideally for SaaS or complex software products.
- Demonstrated portfolio of published customer-facing technical documentation (user guides, help articles, etc.).
- Experience simplifying technical subjects and presenting them in clear, accessible language.
- Familiarity with content management or publication tools such as Zendesk, Notion, or similar.
- Proven track record of effective task prioritization and working to tight deadlines.
- Strong ability to provide and accept constructive feedback to improve documentation.
- Ability to work autonomously and productively in fast-paced, distributed teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on healthcare or radiology software.
- Prior success delivering documentation projects in a contract or freelance capacity.
- Experience maintaining and developing internal content infrastructure such as glossaries, style guides, and reference materials.
- Knowledge of Notion, Google Docs, or Linear, in addition to Zendesk.
