Nokia is looking for a Technical Specialist to join our team. This senior embedded Linux engineering role focuses on software architecture design, WiFi, xPON ONT system development, and L2/L3 forwarding software. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, customer-oriented features and maintaining effective cross-team collaboration.

What You'll Do

Analyze customer specifications and requirements with product management and architecture.
Design and implement software according to product and technical specifications.
Develop embedded Linux software for network protocols, WiFi, layer 2/3 data forwarding, and GPON.
Drive continuous software module refactoring, architecture evolution, and new feature addition.
Analyze, debug, and fix customer issues, performing Root Cause Analysis and implementing preventive actions.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecom, or equivalent.
7 to 15 years of experience in network software development projects, primarily on WiFi.
Experience with 802.11 specifications.
Expertise in WiFi driver development, integration, and bug fixing.
Knowledge of WiFi 6 and 7 with RRM.
Good understanding of WiFi control and data paths on Qualcomm or similar WiFi SoCs.
Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi security protocols, including WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1X/EAP.
Experience with wireless debugging and validation tools (iw, iperf, QXDM/QCAT).
Hands-on experience with the Linux networking stack (wpa_supplicant, hostapd, netlink).

Nice to Have

Good knowledge of software design and development with embedded Linux, OPENWRT, and PurpleOS.
Proficient in C/C++ and Script programming languages.
Development experience in Network layer 2/3 data forwarding.
Development experience in GPON, ONT, home gateway products, or WiFi extenders.
Fluency in technical writing and communication skills.
