MI CNS P&E IPT Next Gen Voice Solution (L05) is hiring a Principal Technical Specialist, an experienced embedded Linux engineer to own software architecture design and development for our next-generation voice solutions. You will focus on Wifi, xPON ONT systems, and L2/L3 forwarding software, delivering high-quality, customer-oriented features through effective cross-team collaboration.

What You'll Do

Analyze customer specifications and requirements in collaboration with product management and architecture teams.
Design and implement software according to product and technical specifications.
Develop embedded Linux software for network protocols, Wifi, layer 2/3 data forwarding, and GPON technologies.
Lead continuous software module refactoring, architecture evolution, and new feature integration.
Analyze, debug, and fix customer issues, performing Root Cause Analysis and implementing preventive actions.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecom, or an equivalent field.
12 to 18 years of experience in network software development projects, primarily on Wifi.
Deep experience with 802.11 specifications and Wifi driver development, integration, and bug fixing.
Knowledge of Wifi 6 & 7 with RRM and a strong understanding of WiFi control and data paths on Qualcomm or similar WiFi SoCs.
Expertise in Wi-Fi security protocols, including WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1X/EAP.
Proven experience with wireless debugging tools (iw, iperf, QXDM/QCAT) and the Linux networking stack (wpa_supplicant, hostapd, netlink).
Strong knowledge of Linux Kernel internals, embedded Linux, OPENWRT, and PurpleOS systems.
Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages.
Development experience in Network layer 2/3 data forwarding and in GPON, ONT, home gateway products, or wifi Extenders.
Fluency in technical writing and communication.
