This role focuses on advancing analytics activation through cloud-native applications and modern data engineering. The individual will apply expertise in Java, event-driven systems, and cloud platforms, with a strong emphasis on adopting emerging technologies such as AI and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Designs, evaluates, and builds systems according to user requirements and technical specifications.
- Offers technical guidance in resolving complex software and infrastructure issues.
- Utilizes advanced knowledge of development tools and platforms to support system design and maintenance.
- Stays current with evolving industry technologies and assesses their relevance to organizational goals.
- May lead project teams or initiatives, providing direction and oversight for technical delivery.
- May contribute to identifying skill gaps and mentoring junior team members.
- Performs additional tasks as needed to support team and system objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of five years of hands-on development experience using Java, with a focus on API-driven applications and event-driven architecture.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and stored procedures, with experience in Oracle and Snowflake databases.
- At least two years of experience supporting production systems or working in infrastructure engineering or administration.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and container technologies such as Kubernetes, including CI/CD pipeline management.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies and development approaches.
- Experience working within product-focused teams and applying agile methodologies.
Nice to Have
- Background in marketing technology systems or application integration.
- Prior experience in a technical leadership or architecture role.
- In-depth understanding of microservices design patterns and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
- Ability to manage responsibilities across development and operational support functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with clear communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset and experience collaborating across IT, vendor, and business units.
- Cloud-related certifications such as cloud architect, engineer, or developer are highly preferred.
