About the Role

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is looking for a Technical Service Senior Manager to provide strategic planning and overall direction to managers and groups within Technical Operations. This role ensures the highest level of customer support is delivered while monitoring the department P&L budget.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain oversight of the daily Service Fleet Status Review meeting and participate in Safety Review Team discussions.
  • Represent the Director of Customer Support in the Safety Review Board as required.
  • Provide direction and mentoring to Technical Operations Managers and Supervisors, including establishing priorities and leadership training.
  • Interact closely with Service Center General Managers and Leadership to resolve high-level customer issues.
  • Develop and implement effective departmental goals and metrics, managing performance against organizational objectives.
  • Identify and champion Lean initiatives and projects within Technical Operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and trend departmental metrics to establish manpower forecasting and provide business cases for staffing.
  • Establish departmental development and training plans, communicate performance expectations, and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Implement and administer department operating processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Interface with Gulfstream owners and operators to resolve difficult situations or aircraft issues.
  • Provide both verbal and written communications on behalf of Gulfstream Product Support.
  • Communicate with Gulfstream Senior Leadership, compiling and presenting customer or fleet-specific data.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in aviation maintenance or a related curriculum required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 12 years of experience providing technical support to in-service transport aircraft.
  • 7 years of progressively responsible management experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to clearly communicate via written and verbal communication.
  • Very strong oral, written, and presentation skills; regularly communicates with senior management, customers, and staff.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor employees.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
