Red Hat is hiring a Technical Project Manager

Red Hat is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Services team based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will manage services projects from initiation to closure, coordinating cross-functional teams, establishing project metrics, and instilling organizational project management discipline.

What You'll Do

• Guide project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for Red Hat’s services projects.
• Handle project requirements, scope, and change management issues, ensuring adherence to legally binding requirements.
• Facilitate the development of recommended project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking.
• Work with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules, contributing to the project estimation process.
• Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on project activities, including subcontractor monitoring.
• Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria and develop project control and reporting procedures.
• Participate in status review meetings with project team members and customers.
• Ensure timely submission of weekly timesheets and timecards.
• Integrate and use specific industry and technical delivery methodologies like those from PMI and Red Hat’s services project management methodology.
• Assist in training the project team on procedures and processes, and coach team associates to accomplish project goals and resolve issues.

What We're Looking For

• Solid 2–3 years of experience in a project management role managing IT-based projects.
• Record of successfully managing highly complex projects and multicultural or multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively across a diverse management team and a broad spectrum of internal partners independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high attention to detail.
• Good balance of business and technical experience.
• Ability to communicate the project management value proposition.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud technologies, middleware, and open source.
• Experience establishing and contributing to process improvements.
• PMI and PMP certifications, a Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) degree, or other certifications of an equivalent level.
