Guidewire is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to own program plans and help teams achieve their delivery goals. This role focuses on supporting large initiatives to expand Guidewire's footprint in APAC markets, including Japan and ANZ, by standardizing processes and tools across projects.
What You'll Do
- Lead by supporting teams to deliver programs on time and meet quality standards.
- Support and coordinate key processes including release and patch deliveries, Production Readiness, and team enablement.
- Manage stakeholder communications proactively.
- Generate and maintain program and release plans.
- Highlight any risks or impediments that could jeopardize a release.
- Communicate status to management verbally and in writing.
- Facilitate and lead meetings, including identification of action items and follow-up.
- Prepare and maintain project and release schedules with all critical tasks and milestones.
- Identify, analyze, and prioritize project risk and develop response plans.
- Work collaboratively to resolve challenging problems and achieve agreed goals.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and strong analytical skills with proven success managing technology projects.
- Experience with new, existing, and legacy infrastructure, working cross-functionally with cloud operations, product management, engineering, customer success, marketing, support, services, sales ops, infosec, finance, and other teams.
- Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and drive results in a globally distributed organization.
- Expertise in Agile environments, specifically utilizing SCRUM and KANBAN.
- Knowledge of AWS services and Kubernetes.
- Deep knowledge and experience in risk management.
- Keen sense of personal accountability and a proven track record of being a strong team player.
- Comfort in a dynamic role that is not always fully defined and that will mature with internal processes.
- Ability to influence others, bridge gaps, and execute with a positive, result-focused attitude.
- Excellent written, verbal, and collaboration skills, including presentation skills.
- Ability to lead discussions and flesh out details required for successful project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Ability to clearly communicate functional and technical requirements to a remote team.
- Understanding of timely response procedures and a sense of urgency.
- Experience using business applications and integrations such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Zoom, Aha, Monday, Google Suite and scheduling meetings across many time zones.
