QuickNode is looking for a Technical Operations Engineer to own the launch and maintenance of our global blockchain infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring our production systems are stable, scalable, and efficient.
What You'll Do
- Launch and upgrade chains, including standups, hard-forks, snapshots, pruning, and clean rollbacks.
- Automate everything with modules, golden images, CI/CD, and zero-touch deploys across regions.
- Run Kubernetes at scale with safe rollouts, HPA/VS/ingress tuning, and robust capacity & cost planning.
- Own incidents by leading SEV0–2 response, publishing RCAs, and implementing preventive changes.
- Build effective signal by defining SLOs/error budgets, creating useful dashboards, and setting actionable alerts.
- Code where it counts by writing and extending tools for snapshots, load testing, and state sync checks; occasionally patching client bugs.
What We're Looking For
- Deep experience debugging real Linux and Kubernetes production environments—networking, storage, rollouts, and performance.
- Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, Helm, or Ansible to ship repeatable infrastructure.
- Coding skills in Go or Python (plus Bash) to automate tasks and build sharp tools.
- Blockchain operations experience: understanding JSON‑RPC internals; running and tuning RPC/validator nodes; log analysis.
- Hands-on observability practice with SLOs/error budgets and Prometheus/Grafana instrumentation.
- Strong networking fundamentals (DNS/TLS/LB); ability to reason about anycast/BGP when needed.
Nice to Have
- Production experience with one or more of EVM (Geth/Erigon/Nethermind/Besu), Cosmos SDK/CometBFT, Solana (Agave/QUIC), or Substrate.
- Multi‑cloud experience plus proven capacity & cost modeling.
Technical Stack
- Linux, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Go, Python, Bash, Prometheus, Grafana
Benefits & Compensation
- Remote-first work environment.
- Humane on-call practices.
- Region-aligned compensation.
- Bonus-eligible role.
Work Mode
This is a global position.
Company Culture
We value pace over ceremony: tight reviews, practical standards, minimal meetings, and async‑first collaboration. Your impact will be visible in production chain launches, reliability wins, and performance gains. You will own significant technical surfaces and grow by learning protocol internals while leveling up your distributed systems skills.
