SewerAI Corporation is hiring a Technical Lead Manager

SewerAI Corporation is seeking a Technical Lead Manager to own and drive product delivery on our AI-powered sewer inspection platform. This is a deeply product-focused leadership role where you will work directly with Product and Design to shape what we build, rally a team of engineers, and maintain a hands-on connection to the codebase.

What You'll Do

• Own product delivery from discovery through execution, translating vision into engineering plans and shipping with urgency.
• Lead and grow a team of full-stack and backend engineers through mentorship, feedback, and career development.
• Be a strong voice in product decisions, challenging requirements and advocating for user-centric, impactful solutions.
• Drive technical quality by setting engineering standards, participating in design reviews, and ensuring architectural soundness.
• Remove blockers and coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of full-stack development experience.
• 2+ years of engineering management or tech lead experience with direct reports.
• Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and React, with backend experience in Node.js, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and RESTful API design.
• Cloud deployment experience (AWS preferred) with Docker and CI/CD.
• Deep product empathy and a strong instinct for what should be built.
• A bias toward action, preferring to ship and iterate.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, and growing engineers.

Nice to Have

• Geospatial data / GIS systems experience.
• Computer vision or image processing.
• Experience with Temporal.io or workflow orchestration.
• Data analytics skills (ClickHouse, dbt).
• Municipal or infrastructure domain knowledge.
• Experience leading product-focused engineering teams in a startup environment.
