GE Vernova is hiring a Technical Field Advisor (TFA) Steam Turbine Nuclear to provide critical on-site technical direction at customer-owned utility and nuclear power plants. Your primary mission is to safely manage the maintenance and repair of Steam Turbine Generator Systems, leading crews and driving quality to support our commitment to electrify and decarbonize the world.

What You'll Do

• Perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of systems and equipment.
• Lead outage crews, including craftspeople, union technicians, and onsite services teams.
• Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services for troublesome equipment.
• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives on installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance.
• Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, and preparing job status reports.
• Sign off on all changes implemented on-site.
• Drive customer satisfaction through a commitment to quality.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure work meets technical requirements within GE Vernova safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment vintages.
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and future outage reference.
• Ensure all necessary parts are shipped to the site for the job.
• Perform walk-downs during installation to verify customer contractors are working properly.
• Perform aftermarket upgrades at the site level.

What We're Looking For

• An Associate's degree or higher with 5+ years of experience in Power Plant Maintenance, turbine maintenance, or equipment installation/commissioning; OR a High School Diploma / GED with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel 80% annually to and from projects and field assignments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
• Ability to gain unescorted access to nuclear power facilities in the U.S.A. and Canada.
• Successful completion of required training programs.
• GE, Alstom, or other OEM steam turbine outages hands-on experience is required.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience to actively support an outage and know where to seek answers.
• Ability and commitment to excellent customer service with external and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience with successful installations and outages.
• Extensive Field Engineering Services experience.
• Pipe fitting and tubing experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Very good project management, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Very good business acumen and ability to sell GE Vernova products to the customer.
• Ability to travel to support customers inside and outside the U.S.A.

Benefits & Compensation

• Compensation: $72,400.00 to $105,000.00 Annual.
