Bpapointca is looking for a Technical Editor to perform linguistic revision and quality assurance for our documents and communications. You will play a key role ensuring technical accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company standards for both external and internal audiences, collaborating closely with our technical and corporate services teams.
What You'll Do
- Perform linguistic revision of documents and communications produced by the company.
- Ensure clarity and consistency of texts so they are error-free and aligned with company standards.
- Work closely with internal clients from technical and corporate services, and the translation team, to ensure technical accuracy and readability.
- Review technical documents to identify and correct spelling, grammar, syntax, and terminology errors.
- Verify the consistency and clarity of content, ensuring information is presented logically and accessibly.
- Collaborate with authors to clarify sections or suggest editorial improvements.
- Ensure compliance with graphic standards, formatting guidelines, and organizational requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical writing and editing processes using internally developed automation tools.
- Position yourself as a contributor who positively supports the delivery of high-quality projects.
What We're Looking For
- Vocational diploma (DEP) in secretarial studies, office administration, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a linguistic editing role.
- Strong command of French, both written and spoken.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, knowledge of technical terminology, and ability to work collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
- Initiative and agility to contribute to the efficiency and success of the team.
- Strong adaptability and flexibility to manage changing priorities and tasks.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the engineering or construction sector.
Technical Stack
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including track changes, comments, version control, and formatting styles.
- Ability to annotate, comment on, and compare PDF files using tools such as Adobe Acrobat or similar open-source solutions.
- Experience working with shared environments such as SharePoint and Teams to collaborate remotely with teams.
- Ability to use terminology databases or specialized glossaries to verify the proper use of technical terms.
- Use of applications such as Antidote to quickly identify errors and inconsistencies.
