Responsibilities
- Design custom shaders and materials that achieve a distinct hand-crafted or artistic style while maintaining optimal performance.
- Develop and manage reliable workflows for transferring assets from 3D software like Maya or Blender into Unreal Engine.
- Set and monitor strict technical limits for polygons, draw calls, and texture usage to sustain smooth frame rates during multiplayer gameplay.
- Lead the development of advanced character rigging and motion retargeting systems to support exaggerated, humorous animations.
- Produce optimized visual effects and lighting using Niagara or Shuriken that match the show's energetic or domestic settings without overwhelming visuals.
- Document tools and processes clearly so non-technical team members can effectively use new systems and pipelines.
