MetroStar is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer I (Linux) to join a collaborative, high-performing team delivering critical solutions for the highest levels of the federal government. You will operate in a highly cleared space, applying deep technical expertise to maintain and secure essential systems.

What You'll Do

Administer Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, RHEL), including file systems, networks, and user accounts.
Work in DevSecOps environments, preferably using GitLab, with containerization, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWX/Ansible, and Bash scripting.
Manage STIG compliance, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
Replicate production-like environments to identify and resolve issues or stage upgrades for kernel and Linux components.
Develop troubleshooting guides, end-user documentation, and mentor team members.
Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence with Active Directory knowledge and skills.
Creatively think out of the box to help with troubleshooting and support and provide innovative solutions that fit customers’ needs.

What We're Looking For

Active Top Secret clearance with current or previously held SCI access.
BA/BS degree in an IT-related field.
Certification meeting DoD 8140 DCWF Role 451 Systems Administrator requirements (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, GSEC, or similar).
5 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
