FlashSites GmbH is hiring a Systems Engineer Webserver (CDN)

FlashSites GmbH is looking for a Systems Engineer Webserver (CDN) to join our small, fast-moving startup. You will develop and optimize our unique PageSpeed solution for the B2B market, working on a server-side, network-edge platform using a reverse proxy via DNS to drastically improve website load times.

What You'll Do

• Manage and optimize multi-region deployments, integrating Load Balancers with webservers like NGINX and Linux OS.
• Work on complex OpenResty/NGINX configurations and program custom Lua modules.
• Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively within a remote team.

What We're Looking For

• Fluent German language skills, both spoken and written.
• At least 7 years of experience in webserver environments and CDN infrastructure.
• Years of hands-on experience with OpenResty/NGINX webserver and optimizing its performance.
• Years of experience managing Multi-Region Deployments involving Load Balancers, NGINX, and Linux.
• Proven experience with complex OpenResty/NGINX configurations and programming custom Lua modules.
• A solid understanding of networks.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Passionate about IT, creative, knowledge-hungry, and curious.
• Highly motivated, well-organized, and an effective communicator in a remote team.

Nice to Have

• Understanding of DNS.
• Basic understanding of implementing DoS & DDoS protection in webserver environments.
