Lockheed Martin Canada is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Naval Programs team. You will engage with large-scale, complex naval platform systems throughout the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements and design to deployment and maintenance.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate on system design activities with the lead systems engineer and other engineering staff
- Conduct needs analysis and market studies
- Review and allocate requirements
- Perform system modeling and design, including model-based systems engineering
- Define and track technical performance measures
- Work on system architecture and design
- Plan system integration
- Create design documentation
- Apply system design engineering processes and best practices
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in a related discipline or equivalent apprenticeship training, with at least two years of relevant professional experience
- Alternatively, a related Master's degree with no experience requirement
Nice to Have
- Two to five years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in the software, systems, hardware, or maintenance engineering lifecycle
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members
- Ability to solve difficult problems within a team environment
- High degree of initiative, learning ability, and adaptability
- Good knowledge of SysML or other object-oriented design methods
- Good knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, Cameo, Clearcase, Clearquest, or Windchill
- Experience with Agile methods
- Experience in the military naval domain
- Experience in change management, requirements management, testing, security, safety, or environmental qualification
