Quevera, a top-rated employer, is seeking a System Administrator II to support the United Football League (UFL). In this role, you will be responsible for managing and securing cloud-based infrastructure, providing critical support to development teams, and ensuring system reliability.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
- Evaluate systems for IAVA compliance and apply necessary security updates and patches.
- Perform command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
- Handle regular system backups and periodically test backups for functionality.
- Communicate with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.
- Apply patches and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot server issues.
- Administer customer accounts.
- Deploy monitoring tools.
- Deploy applications and tools.
- Assist with escalated customer tickets.
- Perform installation and cabling of equipment.
What We're Looking For
- Must have a current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance.
- Proven experience with Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent).
- Experience applying system updates via yum or an equivalent patching repository.
Nice to Have
- Experience working within a cloud environment (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines).
- Experience or knowledge of the RedSeal Network Mapping tool.
- Knowledge of software deployed on systems (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi).
- Familiarity with Syslog/NxLog.
- Experience with Nagios or other similar monitoring applications.
