Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions is hiring a System Administrator to safeguard the reliability of our Cloud Solution. As a core member of the Mission Control Squad, you will be the first line of defense, ensuring system stability and performance.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and troubleshoot the Cloud Solution.
- React to system status changes, alarms, and anomalous conditions as part of the Mission Control Squad.
- Execute immediate steps on an event, start the investigation, execute corrective actions, and notify and involve specialists.
- Work enthusiastically and hands-on directly on the technology.
- Solve complicated problems in daily operations and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Take care of adequate monitoring in your area of responsibility.
- Work together with specialists from your team and other Deutsche Telekom teams on Public Cloud, Open Source, and Security topics.
- Learn the full extent of the commercial Public Cloud solution with the help of experts.
What We're Looking For
- Interest in Cloud Technologies (Public Clouds, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Daily routine in handling the Linux-/Unix command line.
- Business fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Ability to work within the European Union to meet data security and privacy requirements.
- Willingness to work in shifts (7/24).
Nice to Have
- Practical experience with an OpenStack-based cloud.
- Good knowledge of agile development processes.
