The YMCA of East Tennessee is looking for a Swim Instructor to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in our swimming classes. What You'll Do
- Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, preparing lesson plans accordingly.
- Build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents to help them connect with each other and the Y.
- Convey information on aquatics programs and schedules, referring participants to other programs as appropriate.
- Maintain required records, such as attendance and progress reports.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
- Organize and store needed class equipment, reporting any damaged items.
- Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety protocols.
What We're Looking For
- One to three months of experience in swim instruction.
- Ability to swim and demonstrate the techniques being taught.
- Current citizen CPR certification or higher.
- Completion of New Employee Orientation, which is required to start work and provided by the Y.
Team & Environment
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Mode
