Supabase is hiring a Support Engineer for a full-time weekend position covering NASA hours. You will provide developer support for Supabase users, helping them build faster, from billing questions to complex implementation queries. You'll join a globally distributed team that deeply believes in collaborative open source.
What You'll Do
- Provide initial and timely responses to all support cases for topics ranging from billing to complex optimization questions.
- Triage support cases by directing users to previous answers, code examples, documentation, or escalating to technical team members.
- Monitor multiple feedback channels, including GitHub Issues and Discussions.
- Identify where internal tooling might be developed or obtained to improve support efficiency.
- Reproduce issues, create test cases, and improve test coverage.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience providing developer support to technical customers.
- Proficient in SQL, ideally PostgreSQL, and comfortable with complex SQL queries.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- Skilled in using Linux/Unix operating systems and the command line.
- Experience working with GitHub Issues and Discussions.
Nice to Have
- Database administration experience.
- Familiarity with popular JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, and Svelte, and some experience with Node.js.
- A degree in Computer Science.
