Briggs & Stratton is looking for a Supply Chain Operations Intern to support our corporate Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be exposed to a variety of projects across multiple areas, expanding your knowledge in supply chain and operations while interacting with supervisors, team members, and other business functions.
What You'll Do
- Support functional staff by performing basic and repetitive assignments
- Participate in a variety of assignments across different functional areas
- Perform specific and limited portions of less complex assignments for higher-level staff
- Analyze Supplier Scorecards
- Participate in local supplier audits
- Perform data collection and analysis
- Perform data clean up
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED/HSED
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Good working knowledge of computer software
- A long-term interest in supply chain operations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Possess poise and the ability to interact with people in a professional manner
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving and analysis skills
- Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location
Nice to Have
- Previous related experience working in a support function of a team
- Experience using large data sets
- Experience using ERP systems
Compensation
Compensation for this role is dependent upon your current year in school.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located in Wauwatosa, WI.
