Apex Tool Group is looking for a Supervisor, Distribution to manage the day-to-day functions within our Apex Distribution Center. You will be responsible for activities including safety, performance, and costs, and will play a key role in driving continuous improvement. This position sits onsite at our Apex, NC facility supervising on the B Shift.
What You'll Do
- Analyze workload and ensure staffing plans support demand.
- Ensure the team is fully capable of performing all duties within a safe working environment.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset within the facility and collaborate with central resources to improve process flow.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through effective audit activities and 5S initiatives.
- Lead and develop all direct reports and other individuals throughout the facility to ensure bench depth and a pipeline of talent.
What We're Looking For
- BS in a supply chain or business-related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of progressive leadership responsibility in a distribution environment.
- Track record of achieving growth and profitability targets, including reducing costs while increasing operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Ability to effectively delegate and use accountability to lead others in delivering financial and service KPIs.
- Effective communication skills across various levels of the organization.
- Proven ability as a change agent who can inspire others to adopt the company mission and vision.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
Team & Environment
You will work closely with on-site leadership and collaborate with support functions such as customer service, engineering, and system design.
