Cranial Technologies is offering a Summer 2026 Graduate Internship for a Howard University student to join our Technology and Analytics Department. In this role, you will directly support efforts to optimize engagement and increase fundraising metrics through hands-on data analysis and machine learning projects, defending and preserving individual rights and liberties.
What You'll Do
- Support ongoing machine learning and analytics projects by preparing, exploring, and analyzing data.
- Conduct feature engineering for existing and new machine learning models.
- Develop and run queries against the data warehouse to identify patterns and trends for partners in Development, Communications, and Marketing.
- Work with team members to test new ideas, features, and model improvements.
- Learn how data moves through systems and contribute to improving its use.
- Analyze results and translate findings into clear takeaways for the team.
- Collaborate closely with teammates, incorporate feedback, and iterate on work.
- Build technical skills like SQL, Python, or R while solving real-world data problems.
What We're Looking For
- Be a Howard University Graduate student currently enrolled in a Masters Program.
- Be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.
- Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or a similar analytics and programming language.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to Have
- Experience with data collection and cleaning using packages like Pandas, Polars, dplyr, or data.table.
- Experience with data visualization using matplotlib, seaborn, or ggplot.
- Experience with machine learning, causal inference, or hypothesis testing.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $24/hour for graduate and law students or equivalent experience.
- Stipend available for students who are lawfully authorized to work.
- Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in Washington D.C. or New York City.
