Trane Technologies is hiring a Strategic Segment Manager to shape and drive the strategic direction of our commercial controls portfolio. In this role, you'll translate customer insights and market trends into strategic plans, ensuring our offerings remain industry-leading and aligned with business growth objectives.
What You'll Do
- Maintain an in-depth fact base of market trends, customer needs, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics across commercial controls.
- Translate customer research into actionable insights that guide investment prioritization, roadmap development, and product positioning.
- Lead creation of multi-year market strategies that support profitable growth and align with enterprise climate and sustainability goals.
- Champion the business case development process, ensuring strong financial justification for new products and enhancements.
- Serve as the primary internal and external champion of the assigned market offering(s), representing the voice of the customer.
- Support commercialization planning, launch execution, and lifecycle management across the assigned market offering(s).
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (Technical, Scientific, or Engineering) with related experience required.
- 5+ years experience in HVAC, building automation, controls, or product management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex initiatives.
- Strong experience developing business cases and strategic plans.
- Skilled in customer research, market analysis, and competitive assessments.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $95,000-$145,000+.
