About the Role
This role is responsible for enhancing the developer experience by building and optimizing internal platforms, tooling, and automation systems that improve engineering productivity and software delivery speed.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement developer-facing platforms and infrastructure
- Improve build, test, and deployment pipelines for faster iteration
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points in development workflows
- Develop self-service tools that reduce manual toil
- Optimize internal systems for scalability and reliability
- Integrate security and compliance into CI/CD processes
- Support onboarding of new services and frameworks
- Troubleshoot complex system issues across environments
- Document architecture and operational practices
- Mentor engineers in best practices for tooling and automation
- Drive adoption of standardized development environments
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve efficiency
- Monitor system performance and suggest improvements
- Ensure platform availability and responsiveness
- Work closely with SRE and platform teams on cross-functional initiatives
- Lead initiatives to reduce technical debt in tooling
- Promote observability and debugging capabilities
- Contribute to incident response for critical platform outages
- Implement access controls and audit logging
- Support global engineering teams across time zones
