Jobgether is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, DevOps/SRE to lead the evolution of our platform and infrastructure capabilities. This senior role involves shaping cloud-native systems and internal tooling for mission-critical services while defining long-term strategy and mentoring engineers.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-native infrastructure on AWS using EKS, S3, IAM, and related services.
- Scale and improve CI/CD pipelines leveraging CircleCI, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
- Drive infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and manage infrastructure observability via DataDog and Honeycomb.
- Develop internal tooling and platform capabilities to accelerate engineering productivity.
- Mentor and guide engineers to align application and infrastructure needs.
- Serve as the technical lead for infrastructure projects and shape long-term platform strategy.
- Manage and optimize database infrastructure as application and business requirements evolve.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards such as HITRUST, SOC 2, and HIPAA.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to ensure high system availability.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, including 2+ years in a lead or staff role.
- Deep expertise with Kubernetes & EKS, cloud-native architecture, and infrastructure automation.
- Strong experience with AWS services, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and database management.
- Production experience with CI/CD pipelines, including CircleCI, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
- Solid foundation in Linux systems, container orchestration, and networking.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and on-call practices for high-availability systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, able to align platform vision with engineering and business goals.
Nice to Have
- Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or fintech.
- Exposure to data infrastructure and pipelines (BigQuery, dbt, Airflow).
- Experience with Nextflow, bioinformatics, or scientific computing environments.

- Compensation: $195,000 - $250,000/year, base dependent on experience, location, and skills.
