TensorOps is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Core Cloud Engineering to set technical direction and lead system designs for our global cloud platform. You will combine deep technical mastery with strategic influence, reporting to the Director of Core Cloud Engineering.
What You'll Do
- Influence and align cross-functional teams on platform evolution.
- Coach engineers across all levels, raising the technical bar in systems programming and distributed systems.
- Architect and evolve hypervisor integrations like libvirt, QEMU, and KVM across thousands of hosts.
- Design scalable, automated networking systems built on BGP, EVPN, and OVS.
- Lead large-scale automation and provisioning frameworks with GitLab CI/CD and Puppet/Ansible.
- Champion observability and reliability practices with Grafana, Sentry, and SumoLogic.
- Drive advanced performance tuning across CPU, memory, I/O, networking, and storage layers.
What We're Looking For
- Expert-level experience in Rust (preferred) or other compiled languages for systems programming.
- Proven record architecting and scaling hypervisor-based infrastructure.
- Mastery of Linux internals, kernel debugging, and performance engineering.
- Strong background in networking automation (BGP, EVPN, OVS).
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and infrastructure automation (Puppet/Ansible).
- Track record of setting technical strategy and mentoring senior engineers.
Nice to Have
- Expert-level experience in Rust.

- Compensation: $135,000 - $155,000
