Fortanix is looking for a Staff Software Engineer - Backend Microservices to design, build, and optimize critical services using Rust. This role is based in the Bay Area.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure microservices in Rust
- Build scalable and reliable backend systems to meet demanding performance requirements
- Lead technical design and architecture decisions for new features and services
- Collaborate across engineering teams to define and implement service interfaces
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience designing and building backend microservices at scale
- Strong proficiency in Rust for production systems
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and data consistency
- Ability to drive complex technical projects from conception to production
