Join Google as a Staff Software Engineer and play a key role in shaping the future of AI development. You will be a core contributor to AI Studio, a platform for GenAI developers, helping to grow and support the community around Google’s machine learning technologies.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development of the Google AI Studio Android app, enabling third-party developers to leverage Gemini models.
- Understand the needs of developers building LLM-based applications.
- Build production-scale features to productionize a new generative AI technical stack.
- Collaborate with partner product teams to advance LLM techniques and realize real-world product impact.
- Help build team culture, define engineering practices, and lead fast-paced execution.
- Design and build highly available, low-latency online serving systems.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience with Android application development.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years in a technical leadership role, leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization on cross-functional projects.
