HSBC Group is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team. You will lead the development of host apps on the Android platform, ensuring they are high-performance and responsive. What You'll Do
- Lead the development of host apps on the Android platform, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, including engineering, delivery teams, and QAs, to align on project goals.
- Implement and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient code using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Dagger/Hilt.
- Apply design patterns to create clean, maintainable, and efficient code architecture.
- Participate in technical design discussions and reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of the team’s technical expertise.
- Utilize critical thinking to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Participate in Agile and DevOps practices to enhance development efficiency and product quality.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in Android mobile app development, with a strong focus on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Extensive knowledge of OOPS, software design, and design patterns.
- Proven experience in mobile or tablet digital development.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.
- Experience in troubleshooting, production issue handling, and defect fixing.
- Experience with RASP/security services for mobile apps and designing complex host app solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, accessibility, and scripting languages.
