Responsibilities
- Designing and maintaining robust data pipelines to handle ingestion, transformation, and delivery from various sources
- Working closely with analytics and product teams to define datasets and data contracts that enhance clarity and trust in data
- Building and overseeing modern data architectures, including lakehouse designs and medallion data layers, using platforms such as Databricks, Delta Lake, or Iceberg
- Improving performance and efficiency in Snowflake while maintaining high data quality and controlling costs
- Maintaining and scaling workflow orchestration tools like Dagster, metadata management systems such as Unity Catalog or Collibra, and monitoring solutions including Datadog
- Partnering with data engineering, analytics engineering, and security groups to deliver resilient and high-performing data infrastructure
- Creating internal tools, alerting frameworks, and documentation to support reliable operations and empower self-service across the data platform
