Hostaway is looking for a Staff Product Manager, Accounting to play a key role in shaping how property managers handle financial compliance. You'll be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for our embedded trust accounting solution, ensuring it meets stringent regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional user experience.
What You'll Do
- Develop and champion a product vision and roadmap for our Trust Accounting solution that aligns with company strategy and regulatory compliance.
- Plan and execute thorough customer research to deeply understand the needs of property managers and accountants, translating insights into product specifications.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive experiences that simplify complex accounting workflows.
- Partner with legal and accounting subject matter experts to ensure all regulatory requirements are properly addressed.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance needs, and user requirements.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and design to development, testing, and launch of trust accounting features.
- Define and analyze metrics to determine success, ensuring the product demonstrably simplifies financial operations for Property Managers.
- Spearhead the discovery of our reporting and insights layer, identifying essential compliance reports, operational dashboards, and financial statements.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in product management, with a specific focus on accounting software systems.
- Proven leadership in managing complex, cross-domain products from ideation to launch, working closely with engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of financial operations, compliance and accounting systems, ideally in the US landscape.
- Strong customer empathy and experience translating insights into impactful product decisions.
- Proven ability to own complex product strategies and deliver industry-leading solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- A strong ability to work with subject matter experts to detect and extract pain points into tangible, user-centric but compliant product solutions.
