Jobgether is looking for a Staff Networking Software Engineer to design and develop software for advanced networking systems within connected vehicles. You will contribute to creating highly reliable and high-performance communication solutions, tackling complex, system-level challenges in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain networking software across Linux-based vehicle systems.
Collaborate closely with hardware teams to meet vehicle power, reliability, and performance requirements.
Work with application and cloud teams to ensure end-to-end system reliability and performance.
Troubleshoot and triage complex system-wide networking issues, providing effective solutions.
Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring within the software team.
Contribute to architecture and system design decisions to support scalable, high-reliability networking solutions.
Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging networking technologies to enhance performance and connectivity.

What We're Looking For

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, network stack, application-level protocols such as HTTP).
Proficiency in at least one programming language: C, C++, or Java.
Familiarity with Linux, Android, or QNX networking environments.
Ability to work effectively on complex system-level problems in collaborative team settings.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with WiFi, LTE, 5G, Bluetooth, or UWB networking technologies.
Familiarity with packet sniffers, protocol analyzers, and telemetry/observability tools.
Prior experience shipping highly reliable software in automotive or embedded systems.
Demonstrated collaboration and strong documentation skills.
