Canva is looking for a Staff Frontend Engineer to join the Frontend Core Libraries team. In this role, you will be responsible for building efficient frontend abstractions and systems to platformise Canva's product experience. You will define the technical roadmap, champion improvements to frontend practices, and mentor engineers.
What You'll Do
- Build efficient, reusable frontend abstractions and systems that help platformise Canva's product experience
- Define and drive the team's technical roadmap in partnership with the subgroup lead and product engineering stakeholders
- Identify and champion improvements to frontend engineering practices, patterns and methodologies
- Mentor and guide engineers in the team, fostering strong technical craft and pragmatic decision-making
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration of frontend libraries across the product
- Implement and deliver JavaScript based RPC clients for our web pages
- Pave the path for a robust data layer at Canva
- Push forward experimenting with React Server Components and drive its adoption across Canva's web stack
