LinkedIn is hiring a Staff Enterprise Engineer for our Finance Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building the financial systems and business processes that power our global platform. You'll drive innovation, improve craftsmanship, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality software at scale.
What You'll Do
- Drive innovation by designing, architecting, building, and shipping software at scale.
- Improve craftsmanship at LinkedIn by developing best practices and defining optimal strategies.
- Develop software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
- Apply technical skills in Oracle EBS to plan, execute, and deliver large-scale, cross-functional programs with full ownership from requirements through deployment.
- Implement system interoperability, data exchange, process integration, and business process automation tools primarily focused on financial modules.
- Deliver projects and enhancements in standard and custom finance modules within Finance Applications.
- Develop APIs to support integrations between Oracle EBS and other application platforms (engineering systems, CRM, etc.).
- Develop new strategies for improving internal processes and implementing optimal solutions through technology.
- Conduct code and design reviews to maintain development standards.
- Collaborate with cross-domain partner teams (product, commerce engineering, finance transformation) to build the financial systems platform.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience with software design, development, and algorithm-related solutions.
- 10+ years of Enterprise Software Implementation and Integration experience, including architecture, analysis, design, and development with Oracle Financial Applications.
Nice to Have
- BS and 10+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 5+ years, or PhD and 5+ years.
- 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting business systems for Financial Applications.
- Experience with month-end & quarter-end close processes in P2P (purchase orders, invoice processing, payments) and R2R cycles (accounting, reconciliations, accruals).
- Experience designing and building integrated business applications and web services at large scale.
- Strong knowledge of computer science, particularly data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience with SQL Plus, PL/SQL, XML Publisher, Web ADI, Java or Python, and LINUX scripting.
- Experience working with cloud technology such as Azure or OCI.
- Experience with P2P tools like Coupa or Ariba and their integration with Oracle EBS.
- Experience building web applications and services with Oracle APEX.
- Understanding of Webservices (SOAP, REST, GRPC).
- Understanding of DevOps concepts (CI/CD, TDD) and experience with GitHub DevOps is a plus.
- Proven ability to take initiative, execute with full ownership, and deliver agreed-upon deliverables in a timely manner.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in AI-driven development using tools like GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants.
- Experience in Oracle Fusion applications.
