Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable data ingestion workflows from clinical platforms, APIs, and external services using webhooks, API integrations, and change data capture methods.
- Build and oversee event-driven data architectures in AWS, including multi-account setups and error handling via dead-letter queues.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates to deploy and manage data processing workloads, extending established modules and design patterns.
- Orchestrate and monitor data pipeline execution using Dagster to ensure system reliability and full observability across workflows.
- Implement automated data quality validation, alerting mechanisms, and end-to-end data lineage tracking.
- Diagnose and resolve recurring pipeline failures by addressing root causes and implementing durable system improvements.
- Collaborate with analytics engineering teams to ensure source data integrity supports accurate downstream modeling.
- Guide data architecture strategy and provide technical mentorship to engineering team members.
